thoughts....

So I was thinking......what would we do if we didn't have things to look forward to in life?.....Without that tiny spot of hope that's floating in our sea of reality....reality being the dark bland world that many people live in....but what if we choose to forget all the darkness that we face....to hold on to thing that is seen by many as a mere misconception....seen by many as a fragment of hope that will never be fulfilled by reality....whether it be a dream...aspiration....or hope of good things to come....

We spend so much time of our lives thinking about such things.....we can hope for something...and imagine it....and create an entire future in our minds if only the event would actually happen in our lives to spark this rich future we see for ourselves...

But somehow it seems that no matter how much we want something....no matter how bad we work to achieve some goals in our life....no matter how well we convince ourselves that if a certain event would happen, our lives would go on a streak of wonderful events to follow........We somehow don't achieve what we wanted...

And somehow by this turn of events....it sets a precedent in our lives....it sets a benchmark for our happiness....it sets a default pattern that we will be let down by our aspirations over and over again....we get in a cycle that we would consider negative....(constantly being let down by our own "misfortune"....and we link our problems with others and get a mindset that "this is life"....

We become the #1 antagonists of our own life....we accept our problems not because something bad and unexpected happened....but because life is full of problems....and we are just living life..............

But what if there wasn't hope? what if we didn't have the chance to look forward to things in life......we take such things for granted so much....but what if they where gone....what if we had nothing to devote ourselves to? What if we had nothing to work toward achieving......what if the people we take for granted were gone....what if the wonderful opportunities we face in life never happened?

In a world without such things as hope....it would be true darkness.....and the slightest hint of hope would spark a flame in our lives that could never be overlooked....never be taken for granted....and here we are constantly facing situations that we can look forward to....to hope for....to dream for...

Omniscient, Omnipresent..........ONE Almighty God....

Okay so I every night I run, and lately because of my busy schedule I find myself running at night. Now I stopped being afraid of the dark long ago....but the dark is naturally not as comfortable a setting as the light. But it seems that running at night has truly given me a time to unwind, be alone, and have one on one time with God......looking up at the stars at night really help me grasp what a mighty Lord we serve...and in the dark its easier to
focus on your thoughts and feelings seeing as there are much less distractions. Now when I do this I find myself imagining God with me, and God watching my every footstep, and God knowing my thoughts, and God being fully alert of every essence of my being.

As a Christian I often hear and acknowledge my belief that God is always watching, and hearing, and knowing of our actions. But it bothers me that the only time I really think about this is when I'm all alone away running around my block at night.

.. ..

.. ..

Often people think of God as a less exaggerated Zeus sitting on a throne in heaven watching you and preparing his next lightning bolt to throw into your already hectic life.....But there is a problem with this mental image....It leaves out Gods Love for Us.

God is most definitely watching over us all the time...and he can most definitely see and know everything we do, he knows all our thoughts and he knows what we will do, before we even do it....but at the same time God loves us like nothing we can fathom....God watches over our every move, and thought in life because he cares about us. God has a perfect plan for our lives, but sin draws us away from him and ultimately his plan.

Now its not difficult to pick out things in our life that draw us away from God and his perfect plan...and thanks to our conscious we have a naturally instinct to know right from wrong....when you look back at your actions you can always tell if you where doing what’s right, or what was wrong, or just what you wanted to do because that's all you really cared about.

So we live in this world with these physical boundaries....if I do something behind a wall someone on the other side probably wont see it. And if I think a thought is most definitively going to stay in my head unless I tell someone what it is. We have grown up in a world where these are the rules, and we have gotten used to them. We can hide things from each other and it seems that often even though you know something is wrong if you can hide it from the right persons you really don't care. And if there is anyone you want to hide your problems from it’s usually the people that care most about you....you know that it hurts them to see you fall down a path in life that you know is not the right choice and could hurt you in the end. So you hide your true self to allow them to keep there surreal thoughts about you and your situations in life....

.. ..

This plan seems very foolproof until you actually think about it...then it becomes extremely futile. When you think about it not a single person on this earth loves us and cares as much about us as God does. And guess what.....God is the only one that we CANNOT hide from.

As a Christian I know that there is one almighty God, (that's all included in the trinity...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and I know that he is everywhere, and he is all knowing and he knew everything about me before I was even born.

I know that God sent his only son to live a sinless life here on earth, and then sacrifice himself to pay for my own sins...yeah the things that draw me away from God he sacrificed himself to bring me back. Obviously God loves us unconditionally, throughout history humans have turned away from God and he has given us another chance. God created us and everything around is...we are his creation and he Loves us like so.

So when we sin God can most definitively see it, and since he loves us so much it hurts him tremendously to see us fall away from him.

And my question is why do we still sin as if we can't hide it from God????

It’s not possible to stop sinning altogether but the less we sin the closer we get to God and the better off we are. What if we where put in an empty room and where asked to demonstrate our personal sinful nature in front of an audience of the people we had always hid it from....we would most definitively be reluctant. But with God the one that we wish we could hide from the most we can’t be reluctant. We don't have to be in a room with him watching us, he can see us in our everyday life....he can see our thoughts, our desires, and he can see us trying to somehow hide from him.

We hurt God everyday by sinning against him even though we know he is watching....and then we go into church on Sunday, or get on our knees when we are going through a hard time and we ask for his forgiveness.

And the most amusing part of our foolish behavior is when we turn from our hypocritical behavior for like 20 minutes, do something that was the right thing...or something that honored God and we say "gosh I know he saw that!!!" haha I wonder why we never get finished talking bad about others, lying, being immoral, and say "Gosh I know he saw that :(("

.. ..

It’s like we are trying to impress God, but only when it’s convenient for us....and we only acknowledge his all knowing nature when we do something we want HIM to know about.

Also it seems that since we ask God for salvation, we have somehow chosen him to save us....this helps us get the illusion that we can hid things from the God that we chose. But really God was the one that chose us...God made us, and God watched us fall away from him, and curse him, and attempt to hide from him...(In fact Adam and Eve tried to hide from God when they sinned for the first time)....but in the end God CHOSE to send his son to die for us.

So the question of this entire blog is "If God knows all, and loves us they way he does....why do we continue to hide from him"

God is the only one that can truly help us with our problems in life...he is the only one that can help us turn from our sins....and he can see them all, and I totally believe that he wants to help.

So we should acknowledge the wondrous God we serve....we should acknowledge that he knows our problems, and he wants to help us. We should look at our lives and stop trying to hide from God. We should try living as if where in a room with a spotlight on us and Gods watching all the time, Because HE IS. We should clear our head from the thoughts we wish to hide....Because HE knows them. And we should ask for his help in doing all this...Because WE can’t do it alone.

To all the girls Wondering where the "Nice Guys" are...

Ok so I totaly stole this from matt.....but he stole it too so its cool....i changed some words that were kinda unappropriate...so If your a FEMALE....READ IT ALL PLEASE

What happened to all the nice guys?

The answer is simple: you did.

See, if you think back, really hard, you might vaguely remember a Platonic guy pal who always seemed to want to spend time with you. He’d tag along with you when you went shopping, stop by your place for a movie when you were lonely but didn’t feel like going out, or even sit there and hold you while you sobbed and told him about how horribly the (other) guy that you were dating treated you.

At the time, you probably joked with your girlfriends about how he was a little puppy dog, always following you around, trying to do things to get you to pay attention to him. They probably teased you because they thought he had a crush on you. Given that his behavior was, admittedly, a little pathetic, you vehemently denied having any romantic feelings for him, and buttressed your position by claiming that you were “just friends.” Besides, he totally wasn’t your type. I mean, he was a little too short, or too bald, or too fat, or too poor, or didn’t know how to dress himself, or basically be or do any of the things that your tall, good-looking, fit, rich, stylish boyfriend at the time pulled off with such ease.

Eventually, your Platonic buddy drifted away, as your relationship with the boyfriend got more serious and spending time with this other guy was, admittedly, a little weird, if you werent dating him. More time passed, and the boyfriend eventually cheated on you, or became boring, or you realized that the things that attracted you to him weren’t the kinds of things that make for a good, long-term relationship. So, now, you’re single again, and after having tried the bar scene for several months having only encountered players and douche bags, you wonder, “What happened to all the nice guys?”

Well, once again, you did.

You ignored the nice guy. You used him for emotional intimacy without reciprocating, in kind, with physical intimacy. You laughed at his consideration and resented his devotion. You valued the aloof boyfriend more than the attentive “just-a-” friend. Eventually, he took the hint and moved on with his life. He probably came to realize, one day, that women aren’t really attracted to guys who hold doors open; or make dinners just because; or buy you a Christmas gift that you mentioned, in passing, that you really wanted five months ago; or listen when you’re upset; or hold you when you cry. He came to realize that, if he wanted a woman like you, he’d have to act more like the boyfriend that you had. He probably cleaned up his look, started making some money, and generally acted like more of an butthole than he ever wanted to be.

Fact is, now, he’s probably getting laid, and in a way, your ultimate rejection of him is to thank for that. And I’m sorry that it took the complete absence of “nice guys” in your life for you to realize that you missed them and wanted them. Most women will only have a handful of nice guys stumble into their lives, if that.

So, if you’re looking for a nice guy, here’s what you do:

1.) Build a time machine.
2.) Go back a few years and pull your head out of your butt.
3.) Take a look at what’s right in front of you and grab ahold of it.

I suppose the other possibility is that you STILL don’t really want a nice guy, but you feel the social pressure to at least appear to have matured beyond your infantile taste in men. In which case, you might be in luck, because the nice guy you claim to want has, in reality, shed his nice guy mantle and is out there looking to unleash his cynicism and resentment onto someone just like you.

If you were five years younger.

So, please: either stop misrepresenting what you want, or own up to the fact that you’ve screwed yourself over. You’re getting older, after all. It’s time to excise the BS and deal with reality. You didn’t want a nice guy then, and he certainly doesn’t freaking want you, now.

Sincerely,

A Recovering Nice Guy

JOY!!!!!

Ok so tonight at youth I mentioned Joy........and lately I have been experiencing alot........my relationship with God has been tested over and over again throughout my life......but lately I have finally seen what I should have seen FOREVER ago.....I have finally decided to TRULY watch out for God in my life.....to see what he has done through me and others......So many times people pray but do not look back to see how there prayers were answered.....but lately I have been praying much more.....asking God to help me with troubles in life.......I have asked God for help and guidance......and more importantly I have finally started noticing God answering my prayers.......the answers are not always good....or what I wanted them to be........but I have learned from all of them........and so that brings me to JOY.......

Too often people think Joy means happiness.........people think that if you have Joy it means that you are always smiling......or laughing.......but truly thats not the meaning of Joy at all.............

Joy is being able to confront a horrible situation in life, but still see the positive....and still understand that God is in control.......Joy is the ability to keep your eyes on God no matter what the world throws at you......and thats what a relationship with God has granted me......being a silly, funny person I have spent alot of my life "happy"......but when something goes wrong that happieness is GONE......but Joy stays with you no matter what happens.........no matter how bad life gets God is ALWAYS there for you and he is always in control......people often let bad situations hurt their relationship with God (often blaming the bad things in life on God).....but in reality God is the one that is always there for us.....God will never forsake us.....God is there to comfort us in bad times......so Joy is the true knowledge that God is there.........so remember that when you are facing a roadblock in life.....God is there.....and he wants to help you through the bad times......Be Joyous.......when the storms come embrace God instead of pushing him away.....experience a life with a little JOY!!!!

thx for reading.....
God Bless...

I'm Skipping My Funeral, Literally

Ok first of all thanks for reading my blog and please read all of this, cause it very important to me.........Someday I am going to die.......It could be any time.......but fortunately when I die I know where im going.....but lately I have been worried about how people will remember me.....when someone dies It is always a depressing sad event.....which makes sense.....but I have never seen actual joy after the death of anyone.....and Joy is something I love to spread......and I'm afraid that when I die there will be a huge deficit of Joy......so to keep that from happening I have been trying lately to find a way to have a truly Happy Funeral, but in my life i have never actually attended or heard of a happy funeral.......so I have decided to not have a funeral.......since I will be dead I am trying to convince everyone around me to not give me a funeral......LoL I know this is wierd but I'm totaly being serious......When I die I WILL be in heaven and thats something to be happy about......And funerals are nothing but depressing.....sure they are ment to pay respect to the dead one and to remember the life they led......but if someone lives a life of joy.....why do they have such a deppressing funeral......so officialy the best way to respect me after I die is to have joy........seriously.

Instead of a funeral I'm working in having maybe a huge free trip to carowinds......since funerals cost thousands I'm sure that money could be put forth to pay for some kind of joyous accasion.........As far as my body......I dont care what you do with it.....just dont stand around a hole and cry cause I cant stand that.........Since in heaven I will have a new body, my old sin filled body can be thrown in a river as far as im concerned.......or maybe my dead body can be donated to science......but Either way I do not want a funeral.....and I want the people that woudl have gone to my funeral.....go to something fun and exciting instead.....My parents and Friends think I'm being silly......but I am totaly serious........So if I die remember what I'm saying now....NO FUNERAL FOR ME!!!!

You Never Know

On April 4th (Prom Night) my Aunts sister was leaving her house.......as she pulled into the road she was struck by an oncoming vehicle (that was street racing with another vehicle)........as the cars collided she was killed instantly.....her young child in the back seat died at the scene......This is all true and I'm blogging about this because too often we forget house precious a life is and how easily life can be taken away....at any moment your life could end......death is such an unexpected tragedy....yet it will happen to us all......so from all this is another great example that YOU could die at any time.....Luckily my Aunts sister had accepted Gods free gift of Salvation, and right now she is in heaven......But what about you.....if you where killed next week, tomorrow, or even right now would you be prepared to die.....life is so short but eternity is forever.....so ask yourself, ARE YOU READY....

Does God Exist.....?????
